WHAUP Achieves Top SET ESG Ratings “AAA” for the Third Consecutive Year, Reinforcing Its Leadership in Sustainable Utilities and Power

Bangkok – WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) has been awarded the highest level of SET ESG Ratings 2025, “AAA,” for the third consecutive year, and has also been recognized as a Sustainable Stock in the Resources sector for the sixth consecutive year by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)
In 2025, a total of 265 listed companies met the assessment criteria and were included in the SET ESG Ratings, of which 102 companies achieved the top “AAA” rating. This distinction underscores WHAUP’s strong standards in sustainable business operations, emphasizing efficient resource utilization, clean energy development, and robust corporate governance to support long-term industrial growth both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Akarin Prathuangsit, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of WHAUP, stated: “Receiving the highest SET ESG Ratings ‘AAA’ on a consistent basis reflects WHAUP’s commitment to developing utilities and energy systems that are secure, efficient, and environmentally friendly. He added that WHAUP continues to operate under a comprehensive sustainability framework, serving as a key driving force in supporting WHA Group’s Net Zero target by 2050. This is achieved through the development of clean energy and water solutions that effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions, together with responsible resource management, in line with the vision “WHA: We Shape The Future.”
Most recently, WHAUP was also honored with the Highly Commended Sustainability Awards in the Sustainability Excellence category at the SET Awards 2025. The award highlights WHAUP’s performance as a leading integrated utilities and power provider, leveraging technology and innovation to enhance efficiency while ensuring balanced and responsible stewardship of all stakeholder groups.
