WHA Group Announces Major Success at "WeCYCLE Day 2568" Strengthening National Partnerships to Accelerate Towards Net Zero 2050

CHONBURI – December 1, 2025 – Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Group Chief Executive Officer of WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (WHA Group) , a fully integrated leader in Logistics, Industrial Estates, Utilities & Power, Digital Platform, and Mobility , presided over and led the annual major sustainability event, “WeCYCLE Day - Together, We Shape the Future”.
The event marked a significant milestone as WHA Group reinforced its cooperation with national partners, including the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), and Thanachok Vegetable Oil and (2012) Co., Ltd., a joint venture partner in BSGF Company Limited. The gathering aimed to summarize the concrete achievements of the WeCYCLE Project in transforming "waste" into "valuable resources". Throughout its operation, the project successfully collected used materials for recycling and upcycling, resulting in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of up to 269 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e), comparable to planting 29,903 trees in one year.
WHA Group Powers Partnership Towards Net Zero 2050
Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Group Chief Executive Officer of WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (WHA Group), revealed that the WeCYCLE Project is a key mechanism driven by the group's ESG strategy and is central to achieving the goal of Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050. "The success of WeCYCLE Day every year is a testament to the power of collaboration that WHA Group has built with our customers and leading partners. We are not just managing waste; we are creating new value from used resources through the principles of Upcycling and Recycling to significantly reduce environmental impact. The carbon reduction figure of 269 tCO2e reflects our joint commitment to creating a green society and a sustainable world, in line with the WHA Vision: WE SHAPE THE FUTURE," she stated.
WHA Group Collaborates with Major Partners in Special Presentations, Reinforcing ESG Drive
Mr. Pajongwit Pongsivapai, Chief Executive Officer of WHA Industrial Development Public Company Limited (WHAID), reported on the WeCYCLE Project. He stated that the project's success, now in its fourth consecutive year, is due to the strong cooperation from national partners, including IEAT, GC, SCGP, and BSGF, as well as partners from all sectors. Mr. Pongsivapai emphasized that "WeCYCLE" is not merely a waste management project but a crucial mechanism driving WHA Group's ESG strategy and is central to achieving the Net Zero goal by 2050.
In addition, partner organizations participated in a special presentation on the topic: ESG: Driving the Organization towards Sustainability:
- Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer of SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), shared, "Driving ESG must, in addition to reducing GHG emissions, also consider business and cost aspects to enable sustainable business growth. The WeCYCLE Project is an act of mutual support. In the future, it will be difficult for businesses without ESG to continue operating".
- Mr. Saroj Putthammawong, Chief Operating Officer - Value Added Products of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), revealed that "The management of used plastics is a problem that requires system-wide cooperation. The WeCYCLE- Used Plastic Bottles (โครงการขอขวดของเธอ) project, conducted jointly with WHA Group, is a key mechanism for creating a Loop Connecting. Since the project's inception, for over 4 years now, more than 82 tons of used plastic bottles have been integrated into the comprehensive recycling and upcycling process , which is part of GC's drive toward its Net Zero target in 2050".
- Mr. Jitrathep Neungjamnong, Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Thanachok Oil and Fats (2012) Co., Ltd., a joint venture partner in BSGF Company Limited (BSGF), spoke to raise awareness about the importance of industrial-level sustainability cooperation. He stated: "WeCYCLE – Used Cooking Oil” (โครงการเธอทอด เราเทิร์น) project demonstrates that household waste can genuinely be transformed into future energy. BSGF has taken 2.58 tons of used cooking oil and converted it into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) , marking a significant step in reducing reliance on fossil fuels and driving the aviation industry to be more environmentally friendly".
Tangible Results: 3 Main Projects Between 2022–2025
- "WeCYCLE – Used Plastic Bottles Project" (โครงการขอขวดของเธอ) : This collaboration with GC, spanning from 2022–2025 , aimed to collect used plastics for recycling and upcycling, combined with water hyacinth fibers from WHA's wastewater treatment system. The resulting eco-friendly products are then donated back to the community and society. Over these 4 years, a total of 82 tons of used plastic has been collected.
- "WeCYCLE – Used Paper Project" (โครงการกระดาษเก่าเราขอ) : This three-year collaboration with SCGP, running from 2023–2025 , successfully collected over 151 tons of used paper for recycling. The recycled material was transformed into bookshelves and recycled paper desks to promote learning in local schools.
- "WeCYCLE – Used Cooking Oil Project" (โครงการเธอทอดเราเทิร์น) : This collaboration with BSGF, running from 2024–2025 , collected used cooking oil to be processed into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Over the past two years, 2.58 tons of used cooking oil have been collected , creating a significant change in reducing the aviation industry's dependence on fossil fuels.
Expanding Cooperation to 2026: Focusing on Sustainable "Food Waste" Management
WHA Group is moving forward to expand its cooperation in 2026 by forging a key partnership with Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) to address a new environmental challenge: Food Waste Management. Within the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanyaporn Wongnet, Faculty
Member, School of Biomolecular Science and Engineering, VISTEC, gave a lecture and announced the cooperation in a pilot project utilizing the eco-friendly GreenGen Food Waste Management Kit. Target Areas: The pilot project will be implemented in three areas: 1 school, 1 hospital, and 1 model community, to develop a sustainable organic waste management model.
Carbon Reduction for a Sustainable World: A Clear Result of Collective Power
The WeCYCLE Project has proven the potential of genuine cooperation. Operations from 2022–2025 have successfully reduced Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by as much as 527 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) , which is comparable to planting 58,564 trees. This success reflects WHA Group's role as an environmental leader and a key driver in reducing global warming. 'WeCYCLE Day' has emphasized the WHA Vision: WHA: WE SHAPE THE FUTURE in creating a green society and a sustainable world. The continuous expansion of cooperation to new partners like VISTEC further reinforces that all sectors share the same goal. By joining forces to drive ESG in all dimensions, from waste recycling to organic waste management, WHA Group is steadily advancing toward its Net Zero 2050 target, in line with its true commitment to sustainability.
